INGREDIENTS

  • 3 stalks celery
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded
  • 1 ham hock
  • 2 cans pinto beans
  • 1/2 diced ham steak
  • 32oz chicken bone broth
  • Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, sazon seasoning packet (or a bit of smoked paprika)

With garlic being the headliner, it happily shares the spotlight with other completing flavors such as: Onion, basil, thyme and parsley. Always ground fresh and with a low amount of sea salt, Garlic Lovers will be your friend for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1 Dice the celery, carrots, onion, garlic, and jalapeños small. Sauté them in bacon fat or oil of choice until soft.
  2. 2 Add ham hock, bone broth, spices, and FlavorGod Garlic Lovers Seasoning to the pot. Pressure cook on high for 40 minutes.
  3. 3 Allow the pressure to release naturally for 20 minutes, then vent and remove the ham hock. Add the beans.
  4. 4 Remove the skin and bone from the ham hock, dice the meat, and return it to the pot. Add additional diced ham pieces.
  5. 5 Cook on the vegetable setting of the Instant Pot for 10 minutes and let it naturally release.
  6. 6 Serve with low-carb bread garlic toast points. Cut the crust off the bread, brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder, and toast until golden.
