INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 3 medium boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 3 medium carrots, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch rounds
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 5 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp chicken and waffles seasoning
  • 2 bay leaves
  • FlavorGod Himalayan Salt & Peppercorn Finisher
  • Fresh parsley, optional
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1 Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat
  2. 2 Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  3. 3 Trim your carrots, onion, and celery stalk and chop them into bite-size pieces
  4. 4 Sauté them in the skillet for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally
  5. 5 Cut the chicken breast into bite-size pieces and add it to the skillet. Sauté for another 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through
  6. 6 Add garlic and cook for 1-2 more minutes
  7. 7 Add vegetable broth, chicken and waffles seasoning, bay leaves, and salt and peppercorn
  8. 8 Bring the soup to a boil. Reduce heat and add in orzo pasta
  9. 9 Cook for about 12 minutes
  10. 10 Add sautéed mushrooms and fresh parsley.
